Jesus Shack Raising a Generation
to Reach this Generation
:: The Multi-Housing Project ::

The Call

As Jesus Shack's Street Teams continue to reach out to our community, we realize the need to do more than just knock on doors. Although Street Teams is the initial step of building relationships with residents, it is not the end. The residents we encounter are often plagued with feelings of worthlessness, depression, and despair. They live in an environment that breeds anger, distrust, co-dependence, addictions, and loss of faith. Many end up in generational cycles of poverty and on government aid. Since there are many single mothers in these situations, children are often neglected and end up in the foster care system and the generational cycle repeats itself! This is our CALL to do more.

Taking Action

Jesus Shack's Multi-Housing Team is TAKING ACTION by working with apartment owners and coordinating resources through the local government, law enforcement agencies, corporations, businesses, schools, non-profits, and churches to empower, educate, and enable positive change within the lives of residents.

This call to take action includes placing REACH directors in the apartment complex to build relationships with the residents and be a part of their neighborhood. This enables us to support the REACH directors with volunteer teams providing the following REACH opportunities:

  1. Life Skills development classes
  2. Parenting basics classes
  3. Literacy Training (Adult / Youth)
  4. After School Programs
  5. Mentoring
  6. Financial planning assistance
  7. Vacation Bible School
  8. Adult Bible Studies
  9. Recreational activities
