Street Team Overview

Our Vision:

To be a catalyst that stimulates active participation in the Great Commission, fosters healthy relationships, and promotes community wide transformation.

Our Purpose:

To be a network interconnecting a variety of local churches, ministries, business, city government agencies, and the community at large.

Our Mission:

To take the church to the unbeliever's turf and attack our city's giants:

• Spiritual blindness
• Lack of servant leadership
• Poverty (employment, housing)
• Disease (sickness, addiction)
• Ecucation (ignorance, literacy)

Changing Lives

Street Teams can be summarized in two words - changed lives. In Luke 5, four men broke through the roof of a house to lower their friend to Christ. Why? Because they cared for the paralytic. They could have responded in doubt, but they believed God could heal him - they had faith. We invite you to come, participate with Jesus Shack on a regular basis, and watch God do amazing things through Street Teams.

We pray that you will make yourself available to be used by God through Street Teams. We pray that your heart will be broken for the lost and hurting in this community. Before you can care about others, you must become aware of them. Once you are aware of them, you start praying for them. Studies have shown a supportive environment often causes people to want to know more about Christ. ARE YOU WILLING, IN FAITH, TO TAKE A RISK?

Getting Involved

Four ways you can participate:

1. Be a volunteer: Put your feet to your faith, stand up and join our team on the frontlines -- get in the battle!
2. Be an inner-city intercessor: We take prayer very seriously -- without the support of intercessory prayer our purpose and plan would surely fail.
3. Be a financial supporter: The needs of the poor in our community are growing, and there is a need for the faithful gift of financial stewardship.
4. Be a church representative: you have an opportunity in sharing with your church family by letting them know how they can be involved in Street Teams.

Rebuilding a Couragious Community

"Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the age-old foundations; and you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell." Isaiah 58:12
